All three share the base UniRam features but incorporate an anti‑siphon mechanism. Anti‑siphon prevents the emitters from sucking soil or contaminants into the labyrinth when irrigation stops, which is critical for sub‑surface installations. The XR and XRS versions include an enhanced physical root barrier, using materials such as copper oxide to discourage roots from penetrating the emitter pathway. These variants are designed for long‑term sub‑surface drip irrigation (SDI) where root intrusion and clogging risks are high.
